Capitol View Park is a 150 acre park in Frankfort with softball fields, soccer fields, picnic areas and a basketball court. Surrounding these areas are a great network of trails for the beginner and experienced rider. The trails consist of mostly tight twisty singletrack, a few creek crossings, a fireroad, one downhill section, two whoop-de-do sinkholes and some jumps. The trails are mostly hardpack, with some small rock, gravel and gra**ections. Trail conditions are usually good but rain can make riding slippery for a few days. I-64 to Frankfort Exit 58. South on US 127 to HWY 676 (3rd stoplight) and turn right. Go through 3 stoplights, cross the river and and turn left on Glenns Creek Road. Take your first left into Capital View Park and your first right toward the softball fields. Park by the softball fields and there is a Kiosk with a trail map inside. You can start the trail in quite a few spots. There are a few trailheads off of the parking area and more down past the parking area at the end of the gravel road past the soccer fields. <br /><br />
